The Waldorf Education List

How to Get the Waldorf List as a Daily "Digest"

When you first subscribe to the Waldorf list, especially if you haven't participated in Internet discussion lists before, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of e-mail you are getting from the list.

Before you panic and rush to sign off the list, you should try sending this command:

SET WALDORF DIGEST

to listserv@listserv.icors.org instead. Then you will get only one e-mail message a day from the list. It will be a long message, containing all the messages from everyone who sent postings to the list that day, and will also include a handy subject index at the top. This makes it very easy to read only the subjects you are most interested in, and keeps your mailbox from being flooded all day long with list messages. It is therefore strongly recommended that all subscribers use this option.

If you try the digest format and decide that you would rather get the list messages individually, you can send a SET WALDORF NODIGEST command to the listserv@listserv.icors.org address to turn the digest setting off.

If even the "digest" is too much for you:

If even one long message per day is too much, but you would still like to read occasional messages about a specific aspect of Waldorf education that especially interests you, you might wish to receive only the subject index. You can then retrieve any daily digest that interests you from the list archives (see archive instructions here ). To start getting only the index, send the command:

SET WALDORF INDEX

to the listserv@listserv.icors.org address. If you ever want to go back to getting all the messages again, you can send a SET WALDORF NOINDEX command to the same address.
