The Waldorf Education List

How to Temporarily Stop Mail from the Waldorf List

If you go on vacation and won't be checking your e-mail for a while, you should use the NOMAIL setting to temporarily prevent mail from being sent to you from the Waldorf list. You can also use this setting to "take a break" from the list for a while if you know you will want to participate again fairly soon.

Note that if you don't check your e-mail for several days without using the NOMAIL setting on all e-mail lists you subscribe to, your mailbox may get full and start rejecting both Waldorf list mail and all other e-mail you receive! This may result in your being removed from the Waldorf list, and you may not get important mail sent to you from other people, too!

To stop getting mail from the Waldorf list temporarily, send the following command:

SET WALDORF NOMAIL

to the listserv@listserv.icors.org address. When you are ready to start getting mail from the list again, send:

SET WALDORF MAIL

to listserv@listserv.icors.org to turn the mail back on.

(If you aren't sure that you're going to want to start getting mail from the list again, please use SIGNOFF WALDORF to leave the list instead of NOMAIL. You can always SUBSCRIBE again later.)
